End of Summer Surprise

Can you guess where we went on Kris's birthday?

Or did you already know?

We took a last minute trip to Mallorca, Spain.   

It is a Balearic island off of the the East coast of Spain.  It is a beautiful island! 

A great place to sight see and/or relax.

 We headed north on the island to catch the spectacular views from the Cap de Formentor.

 We also stopped at a beach up there that had great kite sailing and windsurfing.

This is a picture of Viv and Jack on an island that 

we explored while renting a paddle boat at a nearby beach.

Vivian enjoyed getting her hair braided and Jack loved jumping in the pool and catching the football!

 I think we are all addicted to the awesome ice cream in Europe!!!  

 We took trains and trolleys to get to the town of Soller.  The renovated train 

took us through the county side, mountains, and tunnels to get there.

We also visited Castle Bellville which was built around 1200.  

Here is the view overlooking the main city of Palma from the castle. 

This is the world's largest cathedral in the city of Palma.

We visited it at night to see it lit up.

It was a great trip!
