Monschau, Germany

We are loving that Spring has Sprung! That means there is more to do, like riding a Rodelbahn.  These  are slides made of steel piping and mounted on hills or mountains that you can ride down on a sled.  They are usually only open in the summertime and when it is dry.  We found this one just outside of the town of Moschau, Germany at the edge of Eifel National Park.

You can control how fast you go with the handle in the middle.

Charlie was happy to come along with us.  Charlie liked drinking at the Hundebar.

This is a ski area in the winter.
The t-bar is used to pull the riders back up the hill backwards on the sleds.

We went into the town of Monschau which was recommended to visit by other people living here.  It was a quaint little town filled with half timbered houses and nestled in a valley with a river flowing through it.

We climbed up to some castle ruins to get a bird's eye view.
