Field Trip Frenzy

I was super lucky to go on a class field trip with each of my kids this week.
First, Jack and I went to the Chocolate Museum in Cologne on Wednesday.  We started by taking a double decker coach bus.  That was fun!  We liked riding on top.

The museum was right on the Rhine in Cologne.  It was a nice location!

It was a true chocolate factory.
Here is the robot arm transferring the chocolate.

The best part was tasting free samples!  Here they are dipping waffles in the chocolate fountain for us to sample some yummy chocolate.

These were old-fashioned chocolate vending machines.  Jack used this one that was still in operation.

There was a chocolate store in the museum of course.  We had to bring some home for Vivian and Mark.

Then, on Thursday, Vivian and I went on her class trip to a zoo called Zoom in Gelsenkirchen.

To start, we saw lions and giraffes. (Below is a Mother giraffe and her baby giraffe who was born on March 9).

This is Vivian and her friends, Leonie and Alex.

We saw many other fun animals too.  It was a nice zoo!

 The lemur was very friendly!

It was a busy last week of school with tests and field trips.
Now we can rest and enjoy Easter time and Spring Break for three weeks!
